The Gang

The Valentine Farm is settled on 120 acres in Norwood, Colorado. A historic home with an easy feeling where you can truly unwind. The wide open west surrounds the ranch with fields, ponds and outbuildings. These include a homesteader cabin, an atelier art cabin, a garage with second story living, a gazebo and a 10-stall equestrian center with an outdoor corral.

alexandra hilton- equine manager

Growing up in Tiverton, RI, Alex fell in love with horses as a toddler. With a mother who rode and managed a show barn, it was inevitable that she would catch the bug. She enjoyed a successful junior career showing in hunters, jumpers, and equitation under the tutelage of Whitney Hollinger and Wendy Smith, as well as the Interscholastic Equestrian Association, where she served as Team Captain. Alex then went on to help coach the Sandy Point Stables IEA Team to a Zone 1 Championship while also completing her degree in Marketing from Salve Regina University. After college, she decided to dive in to the AQHA World with trainer and mentor Torey Roderick. Having ridden and shown with the best both the AQHA and the USEF have to offer, Alex has a unique perspective on horse care and training. Seamlessly blending the best of both worlds to offer the best outcome for every horse.

Gabe Torres

Gabe has been a part of Valentine Farm since his teenage years.  He has seen this property through its phases of building from ground zero, of being home to national champion horses as a private facility, and of now becoming a guest ranch and boarding stable.  He acts as our property host for guests and all around ranch hand. By the age of 14, he started his first official summer job here helping with the fencing and care of the horses.  His family lived on the property for more than five years and Gabe worked on the farm every summer throughout high school and college.  His dad was part of the construction and building of the farm and his mom still provides her housekeeping services after all these years.  Gabe left for several years to work in the hospitality/hotel industry, but fortunately made the move back to Norwood to continue working at the place he calls home; Valentine Farm.
